The Killing Fields and Genocide Museum Private Excursion Tour From Sihanoukville

You will be picked up either from your accommodation, or the cruise ship terminal in Sihanoukville, then drive to Phnom Penh. 

The first stop is the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, this former secondary school was turned into a prison and torture center during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Here political prisoners were interrogated, tortured, and then killed. This site has been kept in basically its original as found state, the cells, torture instruments, records and many contemporary photos can be viewed.

We will take a lunch break.

Then we visit the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek. Originally an orchard it was used by the Khmer Rouge as a mass grave site. Today it is a pleasant looking spot with many trees and a Buddhist Stupa. The glass sided Stupa contains more than 5,000 human skulls exumed from the surrounding area. 

Then you will be returned to Sihanoukville.
