After pickup from your hotel or the Cruise Ship Pier you will be whisked along the new comfortable highway linking Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. Your first stop will be the Silver Pagoda, this incredible space takes its name from the fact that the floor is covered with Silver Tiles. Its also known for its various Buddhas, one made from 90 Kilos of Gold and covered with thousands of Diamonds, and another called the Emerald Buddha. Famous also for its murals depicting the Reamker, one of Cambodias epic poems.
After lunch on the Riverside of the Tonle Sap, we will see the Royal palace. Here you can visit the Throne Hall with its intricate floral carvings, the open air Moonlight Pavillion where Khmer Classical Dance is performed, and the Chan Chhaya Pavilion.
Then it is off the the National Museum of Cambodia. With over 14,000 items in its catalogue spanning from prehistory through the Khmer Empire, to the present. Here you can see artifacts from across Cambodia including many from Angkor, statues in stone and bronze of Garuda and Vishnu, Ceramics, Wooden and Bamboo. These range from Objects used to decorate temples to everyday items.
After the museum, you will be returned to Sihanoukville.
